We are seeking an energetic, detail-oriented, and forward-thinking Pharmacy Operations Manager to join our leadership team at our dynamic community hospital. What you will do
Compounding Oversight: Maintain rigorous regulatory and quality control standards for our sterile and non-sterile compounding areas, ensuring full alignment with USP guidelines and institutional safety protocols.
Medication Safety Leadership: Serve as chair of the Medication Safety Committee, actively identifying risk reduction strategies, analyzing error data, and leading continuous quality improvement initiatives in the multidisciplinary team.
Technician Supervision & Development: Lead, mentor, and empower our dedicated pharmacy technician team. Foster an engaging, collaborative culture focused on professional growth, high performance, and operational agility.
Resource Management & Operational Flow: Oversee day-to-day medication distribution, inventory management, and workflow efficiencies to ensure seamless support for our nursing and medical staffs.
What we are looking for
Education: Doctor of Pharmacy (PharmD) or Bachelor of Science in Pharmacy from an accredited institution.
Completion of a PGY1 or PGY2 Health-System Pharmacy Administration residency is a strong plus.
Licensure: Current pharmacist licensure (or eligibility for licensure) in the state.
Experience: Minimum of 3–5 years of hospital pharmacy experience, with progressive leadership or supervisory responsibilities. Demonstrated expertise in sterile compounding regulations and medication safety practices.
Skills: Exceptional communication, problem-solving abilities, and a proven track record of leading teams through operational change.
